Book Review: A Walk in the Woods

I read A Walk in the Woods a year or two ago and I loved it.  I’m not sure exactly where I heard about it, but it was on a recommended book list in a magazine.  The book follows Mr. Bryson as he embarks on a quest to walk the Appalachian Trail, which runs down the mountains that are (somewhat) along the east coast.  Since I read it so long ago, I don’t remember a lot of the details, but the book was certainly laugh-out-loud funny in many, many places.  Mr. Bryson is an illustrative author, and as you read the book, you can really picture the areas that he is walking through.  I learned a lot about the trail and the towns along it.  I also felt inspired to walk more in my personal life.  I loved the book so much that I bought a copy so I can re-read it on a whim.
